CMMRF: We Did It!!

WE DID IT!!!

Cryptic Masons Medical Research Foundation (CMMRF) started 2021 with a Challenge of matching a gift from a donor in the amount of $50,000. This was ambitious as our previous high for the first quarter of a year was $37,000. Thanks to the efforts of numerous people, we not only achieved our goal but exceeded the goal. As of March 31, 2021, CMMRF has received $74,430!!! In this day and age of superlatives, terms such as “Awesome!!” or “Spectacular!!” seem inadequate for the job well done.

We are one quarter down with three quarters to go to reach our Annual Goal of $500,000. There is a lot of work yet to do. Many of our Member and Affiliated Jurisdictions will be holding their Annual Assemblies during the remainder of the year. This is a usual time when funds are gathered and sent to CMMRF. If a small jurisdiction like the District of Columbia that held a Virtual Assembly in 2021 can go from $100 in donations per year for the past 2 years to $5,000 this year . . . it shows what a little extra work can accomplish. I feel confident that we will reach our goal by the end of the year with increased donations from Grand Councils, large or small.

As of this writing, the Leadership of the CMMRF Board is investigating a multi-year project to assist in the construction of a new lab at The Indiana College of Vascular and Biological Medicine (ICVBM) at Indiana University. Among other purposes, the new lab will permit ICVBM to validate stem cells in-house rather than sending them off for validation.

With the help that you have provided, we have generated a new excitement for CMMRF. We have an exciting future.
