On March 10, a conference call was held with the East Central Regional Recorders. A summary of the call is below.

Illinois

  • Governor’s recommendations (varies by region) – depends on location.
    • MWGM following
  • Meetings both in-person and virtual as well as hybrid.
  • Degree work – Active
    • March 20th Peoria Heights this Saturday
      • MIPGMs and Grand Council
    • April 22nd Joliet
    • Danville – in planning stages.
  • Annual Sessions
    • July 29, 2021
    • In-Person
    • Bloomington Normal Marriott and Conference Center
    • 201 Broadway Avenue, Normal
    • Registration forthcoming.
    • Planning still going – meals, etc.
  • Virtual Meeting being used.
    • Monthly Grand Council officer’s Meeting
      • 3rd Sunday monthly 7PM
    • District Inspectors 2nd Sunday of each month.
  • Grand Lodge is October 8-9, 2021 – Meetings thereafter.
    • BOSS Center, Springfield, IL
    • Dean – OSV – No notifications as of yet.
  • Using MMS – Now Chrome friendly.

Indiana

  • Governor’s Recommendations changing shortly.
    • In-person up to 25, wear masks, social distancing.
    • MWGM subscribing to Governor’s Office
  • Meetings – following Governor
  • Degree work is being performed.
  • Annual Sessions
    • April 23, 2021
    • Grand Master’s Banquet, the evening of the 23rd
    • In-person – not limited
    • Courtyard by Marriott, Muncie, IN
    • Downtown Convention Center (Meetings)
    • Tom Taylor, General Grand Representative
  • Tri-State – Successful – 18 Candidates for Royal & Select.
    • In-person – masks and social distancing
    • Indiana – Royal Master
    • Ohio GC – Select Master

Michigan

  • Starting to open back up
    • Governor’s restrictions are lifting
    • Lodges are open (masks and social distancing)
    • Councils are starting to meet.
  • Festivals planned
    • April 24 – Strawberry Festival – in person – SEM Full Form. 
    • June
  • Grand Sessions
    • August 20, 2021 
    • Bay City, MI; DoubleTree Bay City
  • George Washington National Masonic Memorial
    • Proceedings being posted on their site
    • The Memorial had many that completed the historical set.
    • $1000 to get in – $400/year.

Ohio

  • Meeting in person
  • Degree work is authorized.
  • MIGM – Education program to be inclusive 
  • Jerry Belt, Grand Marshal passed last week.

CMMRF

  • $50,000.00 matching until April 1, 2021
  • Donations page needs an update from 2019 to present.
  • A lot of work going on to bolster, support, and train State Chairs

General Grand Council

  • East Central Conference – 
    • We’re working with RPC Michael to make the next two better.
    • Working with differences in Regions/traditions.
  • Dates for the 1st Triennial Meeting
    • August 13-14, 2021 – Minneapolis, MN
    • First Day – Education, Training, CMMRF, etc.
    • GG Assembly – Constitution & Bylaws Changes, Grand and Subordinate Charters, and Ritual approval.
      • Grand Council of Germany
    • GEKT has been the epitome of York Rite Cooperation. Essentially hosting us.
      • Registrations will be one – the GEKT will have a registration, ours will be a part of it.
      • Registrations should be available in early March.
      • Education speaker for GEKT on Sunday.
  • Mid-Term Session – August of 2022 – Budget – Virtual.
  • August/September 2023 – General Grand Assembly
    • Kevin Sample, Chair.
    • Awaiting books being closed for 2020 Triennial from General Grand Chapter.
  • Branding – Thank you to RPC John Bridegroom – creating traditional and vibrant artifacts such as certificates, Greeting Patents, Charters, and more.
  • Fireside chat – 4th Sunday of every month (except April – due to Holy Week)
    • 5:00 PM ET.
  • General Grand Council Programs
