Grand Council of New York: 2021 Annual Assembly Overview

Grand Council of New York 2021-2022 Officers

 

It was my distinct pleasure to attend New York’s Annual Assembly this year on August 20-21 and most especially to see all the companions once again after such a long time apart. The event was held at the Desmond Hotel, just outside of Albany. This was the culmination of a difficult year and half, but the hospitality and fellowship were great, maybe a tad better than usual since everyone was so excited to be face-to-face again! Our gracious host, MIGM Phillip Chandler was glad to finally end his COVID-extended term.

It was my honor to assist in presenting a number of awards to some very deserving individuals, though not all were in attendance. From last year:

Mrs. Karol S. Wright, Adult Youth Leadership Award from General Grand Council for 2019-20.

R:.I:. Dennis S. Davis, General Grand Council International Cryptic Mason of the Year Award for 2019-20

R:.I:. Stuart W. Card, Columbian Award from General Grand Council for 2019-20

M:.I:. Phillip J. Chandler was recognized by General Grand Council International as a Past Most Illustrious Grand Master for 2019-20

For the latest year:

W:. Mark Alvarado, Adult Youth Leadership Award from General Grand Council for 2020-21

M:.I:. Phillip J. Chandler was recognized with another plaque by General Grand Council International as a Past Most Illustrious Master for 2020-21.

There was a general feeling of delight as we watched the new slate of officers finally installed for the upcoming Cryptic year, including the newest Most Illustrious Grand Master, John A. Gallant. Thanks again for the hospitality and best wishes for a productive year.
