Several years ago, the Grand Lodge of Delaware sold their Masonic Home and took the proceeds and formed an endowment called the Masonic Charities of Delaware. The fund has made donations to several charities and this year a donation was made to Royal Arch Research Assistance, Cryptic Masons Medical Research Foundation, and the Knights Templar Eye Foundation.

Shown above receiving the donation at the Grand Lodge of Delaware’s 217th Annual Communication are Most Illustrious David H. Laucius, Grand Master of Cryptic Masons in Delaware on the right along with Right Puissant James B. Walsh, Deputy General Grand Master for the Mid-Atlantic Region. Also accompanying them was Right Puissant Mark Irwin, Assistant General Grand Recorder who was called on to briefly explain the purpose of the three York Rite charities. This gave an opportunity to highlight the good works of CMMRF and encourage others to support the Foundation.
