As PMIGM, I was honored to present RIC Gregory W. Davis, II with the First Responder Award provided by the General Grand Council of Cryptic Masons International. RI Davis has served his community in Randolph and Davidson Counties, North Carolina in this capacity for 17 years and counting. He graduated from Guilford Technical Community College in 2005 with an AAS degree in emergency medical sciences and paramedic certification. iis initial employment was with Randolph County starting in 2004 as an EMT.

While working at Randolph EMS, he also worked at Ash-Rand rescue as an EMT-I and taught EMS at both GTCC and Davidson County Community College for 5 years. He is currently a full-time paramedic with Davidson County EMS. He enjoys training newcomers to the field of Emergency Medical Services. In Greg’s own words, a paramedic career “can go from hours of boredom to sheer panic in a matter of seconds and that is how I like it. Prehospital medicine, EMS is my first love but draws a close second to Freemasonry as my passion continues to grow in the craft.” Greg also served as Grand Chaplain for the Grand Council of R&SM in NC in 2020-2021 and has been re-appointed for 2021-2022.
