Latin America Regional Recorder’s Meeting – April 29, 2021

On April 29, a conference call was held with the Latin America Regional Recorders. A summary of the call is below.

Mexico – 

  • Vaccinations are working in age groups – most susceptible groups first.
  • Most have only had first dose.
  • Younger are getting J&J, older are getting Moderna/Pfizer.

Sepulchra de Monarchas No. 14

  • Wednesdays 2nd Wednesday 9:30 – 10 PM UTC -5
  • Jitsi – meetings virtually
  • Educational program – explore ritual and meaning.

Quito No. 1, Ecuador

  • Working virtually – Wednesday 4th Wednesday
  • 6:30 PM
  • Royal Arch and Cryptic
  • 5th Wednesday – Administrative meeting – Officers.
  • Cleaning the Roster to make it accurate.
  • Illustrious Master – Provided all of the support necessary for them to meet physically.
  • Planning to meet in person as soon as 60% vaccination is reached.

Nuevo Leon No. 24

  • Grand Lodge starting work.
    • First Saturday Commandery
    • Third Saturday Council
  • 6th of March – 13 New Cryptic Masons
  • Mid-May – able to meet in person. 
  • Awaiting 15 Ties.

Leon de Judah UD

  • Orange – Nearly Red – Covid is spreading again, hospitals are filling up.
    • Ran out of vaccines, remedies for the Covid.
    • Curfew and weekend closures.
  • Meeting virtual – 
    • Last Saturday of each month 8:30 AM MDT
    • Chapter/Council/Commandery
    • Educational

Metatron Council UD

  • Orange – Nearly Red – Covid is spreading again, hospitals are filling up.
    • Ran out of vaccines, remedies for the Covid.
    • Curfew and weekend closures.
  • Meeting virtual – 
    • Tuesday Nights – 3rd Tuesday at 10 PM
    • Chapter/Council/Commandery
    • Educational

Jedediah No. 9

  • Fridays
  • Changed the dates for meetings to accommodate schedules/covid issues
  • Meeting two times per month.
  • In person meetings still to be determined.

Guametria Ensenada, Baja California

  • 2nd Thursdays of the Month 8:00 PM PDT
  • Virtual meetings for now. Awaiting permission for in-person.
  • Maintaining enthusiasm – studying hard for next in person meeting.

Giblim No. 25 Mexico City

  • Meeting to practice – no formal meetings.

Hanif No. 17

  • Virtual meetings
  • 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month.7 PM CDT
  • Locked down by the government.
  • Education meetings
