Latin America Regional Recorder\’s Meeting – May 27, 2021

On May 27, a conference call was held with the Latin America Regional Recorders. A summary of the call is below.

Sepulchra de Monarchas

• Working from condition “yellow” to get to condition “green”
  • Still some areas with high RT rate of COVID
  • No limitations on interstate travel
• Meet second Wednesday of each month at 9:30 PM CDT
  • Jitsi

Guametria

• Working in condition “Amber” – tendency to “Green” but increasing in the capitol.
• Meeting virtually 8:00 PDT,  on Second Thursday of the month. 
  • Zoom 

Hanif

• Meeting in blue lodges, but not in York Rite – working at getting it started.
  • Zoom
• Currently “Yellow” in Mexico City – tendency toward “Green”
• Travel is ok by Air, but not by vehicle interstate

Quito No. 1

• Hoping to reach 60% vaccinations by End of July – then in-person meetings.
• Working Virtually now.
• Issue with Decryption. Will follow up with Will Highsmith
• 10 Candidates are waiting for Council Degrees.

Supremo Grand Council of Scottish Rite – not recognized.

• New Scottish Rite
• May be causing division within the Lodges and Grand Lodges.

General Grand Council

• Appropriate recognition for Symbolic Lodge is either CMI or CGMNA.
  • We must ensure that we take a stance in support of the Grand Lodge.
