North Central Regional Recorder\’s Meeting – April 22, 2021

On April 22, a conference call was held with the North Central Regional Recorders. A summary of the call is below.

Iowa

• Grand Conclave for Commandery – June 3-5, 2021 Des Moines, IA
  • Line will stay in place due to COVID
  • GC unable to travel and wants to help each Commandery
• Grand Chapter and Grand Council – August 5-7, 2021
• Website up and running
  • Will protect the Page
  • Not the proceedings
• Using Quickbooks online
  • Gives good checks and balances
• OPEN – with social distancing practiced by some
  • Festival scheduled for Fall 2021
  • Grand Master one day class May 8, 2021
  • (New York has an augmented ritual for Social Distancing)

Minnesota

• Councils have begun to meet
  • Some in person
  • Some Virtually
• Planned sessions June 24-27, 2021
  • Chapter and Council Friday Morning
  • Banquet Friday Evening
  • Commandery Saturday
• Registration on website
• Governor order to wear masks in Public
  • Social distancing

Nebraska

• Sessions went well.
  • Officers all advanced
  • All sessions were under 2 hours each
  • 91 at Banquet
• Basically back to normal
• Next year scheduled for April 7-9, 2022

North Dakota

• Council degrees held in Grand Forks and Bismark
• Working through Commandery Orders
• Sessions will be held in July 8-10, 2021 at the Ramada Inn, Bismarck
• Open – No Restrictions

South Dakota

• Sessions 3rd Thursday in September
• Meeting in Person (some)
  • May scheduled for Chapter degrees

Wisconsin

• Sessions Virtual
  • May 1, 2021
• Chapter and Council will meet together

Clerk

• Need Awards in ASAP
  • Engraver is BUSY!!!

CMMRF

• Please remind Companions that we have a goal of 500K! 
• We met the early goal of 50K

General Grand Council

• Companion Rodney Middleton, Kansas, Passed away in a car crash yesterday.
• The Marketplace is coming along. 
• We are working on single sign on for all of the sites
• Job Board will be up soon (generalgrandcouncil.org) 
• Friday August 13 First Recorder/Treasurer session (Morning)
  • First day of Triennial Session
  • CMMRF session also (Afternoon)
• First session will be in August 2021, in person. 2nd session should be virtual in August 2022, third session (Triennial) will be in Branson MS 2023
• Youth Advocate Award 
• First Responder Award
• Fireside Chat This Sunday
