As with any great piece of equipment, the usage of the CODEX analyzer requires consumables, known as reagents, in order to process the hidden data within the cells. The only differences in these consumables, when compared to fuel for automobiles or ammo for guns, is the up-front cost for the order.

These reagents have an initial purchase price of $75,000. This may seem like a large sum of money for some simple chemicals, but this cost is nothing when compared to what it can do, especially in the very capable hands of Dr. Michael Murphy and his team!

According to Google, here are some healthcare costs associated with the research being supported by CMMRF and Dr. Murphy…

• Insulin – up to $600 per month
• Leg Amputation – $20,000 to $60,000
• Stroke – $9,200 for thrombolytic (clot-buster) medication. The hospital markup can be several times higher and does not include diagnostic testing or rehabilitation
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair – $12,000 to $25,000

This initial purchase of the reagents does not seem so high when compared to the costs of these procedures, especially when compared to the dozens, hundreds, thousands or even millions of lives that will be improved or saved by the information gathered from these studies done by Dr. Murphy, with the support of CMMRF.
