Chris Christianson, 65, Fargo, ND, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Sunday, October 18, 2020.

Chris was born on July 21, 1955, in Helena, MT to the parents of Clayton and Geraldine Christianson. He grew up in Fargo with his siblings Gerald and Sonja. Chris and Gerald obtained their rank of Eagle Scout under the guidance of their father, Clayton, who was Scoutmaster at the time. Chris graduated from Fargo South High School in 1973 and completed college at Moorhead State University. On July 28, 1978, Chris married Mary Brown at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo, ND. Chris and Mary celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary this past summer.

Chris’ father Clayton was very active in Masonry which influenced his sons Chris and Gerald to become involved also. Chris devoted many years to the Craft. Chris was Past Master of Sunrise Lodge #130 of Fargo, Past Grand Master of ND 2001-2002, Scottish Rite 33rd Degree, and In York Rite Grand High Priest, Grand Illustrious Master, and Grand Commander and many appendant bodies. Chris was most recently employed at Sanford South University in Security.

He is survived by his wife Mary, sister Sonja Kosler, brother-in-law Greg (Bonnie) Brown and sister-in-law Jackie (Jim) Schaefbauer, several nieces and nephews, Terri Pena, Bjorn Christianson, Letta Page, Jacob Schaefbauer, Joseph Schaefbauer, Jordan Schaefbauer, Jeremy Polka, Justin Polka and his beloved Afghan Hounds, Taj, and Taiz.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Geraldine, his brother Gerald Christianson and brother-in-law David Kosler.

In a celebration of his life, a memorial service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020, at 11:00 am at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND, followed by a Masonic service. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
