Passing of MIC Dale L. Corrice, 1947-2022

Companion Dale Lynn Corrice was born January 29, 1947, to Gilbert William and Ruth Benson Corrice. He
has a younger brother Jon William Corrice. He graduated from Orion High School where he lettered in
basketball and band before attending Blackhawk College in Moline.

Married on June 19, 1971 and divorced in 1988. Dale has a son Christopher William Corrice who resides
with his wife Mary Patricia in Des Moines, Iowa.

Dale was employed by Eagle Food Centers from 1965-1989 starting out as a full-time carry out/stocker,
advancing to Produce Manager, head cashier, and assistant Store Manager. While working he graduated
from Hamilton Technical College, Davenport, Iowa with an Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering
Technology.

Dale started with Motorola, Inc. the day after graduation as a National Systems Service technician, 100%
road travel, System Implementation Specialist traveling to over thirty states in three years, progressing to
project leader. He progressed through Motorola, retiring in 2005 as a Systems Design Engineer.
Dad Dale joined Chalmers J. Seymour Chapter, DeMolay (Moline, IL) in 1962, serving as Master Councilor
in 1965 and District Master Councilor in 1966. As a DeMolay, he has received the Representative DeMolay
Award, Degree of Chevalier, and Legion of Honor. He served as Illustrious Knight Commander, Order of
Knighthood in 1967-68 awarded Illustrious Knight Commander’s Meritorious Service Award (second in
world). As a Senior DeMolay he served as an advisor for Chalmers J. Seymour Chapter, Chapter Dad for
S. E. Long Chapter, East Moline, Advisory Board Chairman for Frank S. Land Chapter, Crystal Lake.
Brother Dale petitioned Sherman Lodge 535 on his 21st birthday. He was initiated March 1, 1968, passed
March 15th, and raised May 24th, with his father conferring all three degrees. He served as Worshipful Master
in 1974. Worshipful Brother Dale also served as WM for Dundee Lodge 190, Cary-Grove Lodge 1157, and
transfer Master of Oneida Lodge 337. He has served the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge as DDGM,
AADGM, and committees for community days, and internet. He was Chairman for Blue Lightning Program
for three Grand Masters from Charles Sullens to Noel Dicks. Became a Certified Lodge Instructor then a
Grand Lecturer and Grand Lodge Instructor. Grand Representative to MW Grand Lodge of Colorado PHA.
Right Worshipful Brother Dale holds honorary memberships in twelve lodges.

He petitioned East Moline Chapter 263, Royal Arch Masons in 1968 and served as High Priest in 1973.
Petitioned Rock Island Council 20, Cryptic Masons and served as TIM for Cary-Grove Council 36. He was
elected to the Grand Council line in 2011 and as Most Illustrious Grand Master in 2011. He holds honorary
membership in several Grand Councils, along with many constituent Councils. He was the Grand
Representative to Ohio Grand Council of Royal and Select Masons. Comp. Corrice was also a Companion of
the Secret Vault (0081) with the General Grand Council Cryptic Masons International. Sir Knight Dale was
knighted in Rock Island Commandery 18 as an inspection candidate in 1973. He was honored with the
KYCH in 2006 and KYGCH in 2011.

Dale held membership in Allied Masonic Degrees; St. Bridget Council, Knight Masons; General Joseph
Warren Sword of Bunker Hill; Royal Order of Scotland; Scottish Rite Valley of Chicago; Medinah Shrine;
and SRICF.

Dale was a past Governor of Blackhawk York Rite College 88 and a member of Illinois York Rite College

He was the founding Director-General of Chicago Preceptory 13, Yeomen of York.
