On June 19, 2021, Past Most Illustrious Grand Master Kevin P. Wood the Simmons Jones Baker Award for 2021 to Rory J. Byers. The presentation was made at the North Carolina Honors Day The Simmons Jones Baker Award is an award of the Grand Council of North Carolina and can be presented by the Most Illustrious Grand Master to three Cryptic Masons each year of their term.
