The 62nd Annual South-Central Regional York Rite Conference is being held on September 20th – 21st, 2019 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our Arkansas Companions have been hard at work organizing the local arrangements.  You may find the most up-to-date information and registration forms for the Conference at the website www.southcentralyr.org.

Please note the deadline for hotel reservations has passed, and the deadline for conference registration is September 9th, 2019.  Please help our organizers by making your arrangements as soon as possible.

The General Grand Council and General Grand Chapter are planning a joint session on Friday morning.  Friday afternoon following the conference business meeting, we will break out into separate groups where we hope to provide several more meaningful presentations for your benefit.  This conference targets an audience of York Rite leaders.  Please plan to attend and encourage the participation of your officers.

The Friday morning session will include presentations from our charities, the Cryptic Masons Medical Research Foundation and the Royal Arch Research Assistance, Justin Morris will present “Understanding Generational Differences”, C. James Graham will present “Albert Pike as a York Rite Mason”, and Steven Tiner will offer an exciting presentation as only a Baptist pastor can present.

Following lunch and the conference meeting, the General Grand Council session will continue with Dr. Joe Rouse presenting for CMMRF, R.P. Stephen Balke, Grand Recorder, bringing updates from the General Grand Council, and Daniel Hanttula, Technical Automation Committee member, on “Protecting Members Information.”  Closing the afternoon session will be presentations from the attending Illustrious Grand Masters on their respective plans of work, success stories, upcoming Grand Sessions, and topics of interest they wish to highlight.

The York Rite Leadership Program classes will be held during the Conference on Saturday, September 21st, 2019. Companions can self-nominate, so please take advantage of this low-cost leadership training opportunity.  More information is available at the conference website, or contact the Program Administrator S. Lane Pierce (yrl@yorkriteleadership.org) right away.

If you bring your Lady, there is a program for her that she will not see anywhere else. Our Arkansas hosts have arranged a tour of the only ladies purse museum in the United States https://essepursemuseum.com/.  The tour will leave the hotel on Friday at 10:00 am and return in time for the ladies luncheon at 1:00 pm.

We hope you will take the opportunity to meet with your peers for surrounding states, and improve your knowledge and skills by attending this important Conference.  I\’m looking forward to seeing you all in Little Rock in September.
