On March 17, a regional conference call was held with the South Central Region South Grand Recorders. These calls will be mentioned in the Decryption as a way to notify every Companion of what is happening with each Region. The Jurisdictional Highlights of the call are below. Other Regional Calls will be covered in the upcoming weeks.

Arkansas

  • Covid starting to drop – Governor has changed requirements for meetings under 100 to be more basic.
  • Not serving food at meetings until June.
  • Sessions went well.
    • Raised per capita, elected officers.
  • Backlog of candidates and petitioners.
    • Starting degrees in all bodies.
  • Side, Appendant and Concordant Bodies

Kansas

  • MWGM – 
    • First Degree only
    • Grand Lodge Annual Communication on Friday, May 19, 2021.
    • New Edicts anticipated – may start to open up.
  • May 1, 2021 – Chapter Festival
  • May 22, 2021 – Council Festival
  • Commandery awaiting GEKT updates.
  • Sessions
    • Chapter – July 10, 2021
    • Council – July 17, 2021
    • Commandery – July 24, 2021
    • Registration forthcoming.

Louisiana

  • Meeting and conferring degrees in Chapter and Council
    • Social distancing
    • Simulations for some parts of the work.
  • Phase II – GEKT – putting on all three Orders, with simulations and social distancing.
  • Annual Sessions went well.
    • All three – 1.5 hours each – virtual.
  • (Missed Last Year) Louisiana Mississippi Festival

Missouri

  • MWGM – 
    • ~EOM February
    • Allowed to do Degrees
    • Effective April 1, 2021 – Edict No. 3 – Back to work in Council.
    • Much the same in Chapter – no news on Commandery.
  • CMMRF MONTH – March
    • Fundraisers and advertising – collecting through March 31, 2021
    • $100 Donation – Purple Heart pin (purple heart pin – CMMRF in the middle)
  • Grand Sessions
    • June 9-12
    • Chapter 6/9
    • Council 6/10
    • Commandery 6/11
    • Celebration for York Rite 6/12
    • In-person planned.
  • Ritual Schools of Instruction for officers and certifications
    • Next year open to all members. 

Oklahoma

  • Opening up – little bits at a time
    • Governor reduced all restrictions (subject to local)
    • MWGM – following up this week.
  • Chapter and Council – Taking it slow.
    • Social distancing
  • Grand Session – 1 day in person
    • India Shrine
    • Voting Delegate or Single Delegate from the General Grand Body.
    • April 24, 2021
  • Degrees
    • Not many 
    • Central Festival on May 22, 2021 – All three bodies.
      • Courtesy work? Follow up.

Texas

  • Successful Sessions in February in Waco, TX

Tennessee

South Central Conference

    • September (3rd Weekend)

General Grand Council

  • Working with getting communication up with all Grand Councils and Subordinate Councils.
  • Dates for the 1st Triennial Meeting
    • August 13-14, 2021 – Minneapolis, MN
    • First Day – Education, Training, CMMRF, etc.
    • GG Assembly – Constitution & Bylaws Changes, Grand and Subordinate Charters
    • GEKT has been the epitome of York Rite Cooperation. Essentially hosting us.
      • Registrations will be one – the GEKT will have a registration, ours will be a part of it.
      • Registrations should be available in early March.
      • Education speaker for GEKT on Sunday.
