Southwest Regional Recorder\’s Meeting – May 26, 2021

On May 26, a conference call was held with the Southwest Regional Recorders. A summary of the call is below.

Arizona

• Sessions
  • August 19-21, 2021
  • Council August 19
  • Banquet August 20
  • https://azsessions.org 

California

• Waiting for June 15, 2021 – Announcement – Governor will make a new set of protocols.
• Lodges are starting to consider opening up.
  • Brethren are not happy about circumstances
• York Rite is following the Lodge activity – waiting for July.
  • Likely September for the first meetings.
  • Likely mask and social distancing and vaccination requirements.
• Grand Sessions successful (three separate Saturdays)
  • MIGM Peter Champion Installed is doing well on recovery.

Hawaii

• Pretty much still operating as closed, though governor is opening things up.
• Some meetings in person, some virtual.
• No degrees scheduled.

Nevada

• Open for business as of June 1, 2021
  • No masks required if vaccinated.
• Meetings – ALL 
• Degrees
  • Reno – June 12, 2021 – Chapter
    • 10 AM – Downtown Lodge
  • Council soon after.
  • May be open for Courtesy Work
• Colorado River Fall Festival – Likely Cancelled.
• Sessions
  • August 22-24, 2021
  • Santa Fe Hotel, Las Vegas, NV
  • Banquet 22nd
  • Banquet 23rd – CMMRF Banquet – Gary Wyne will be there.
  • Council Morning of the 23rd.

New Mexico

• Operating under color scheme – but the Governor has opened most everything.
• MWGM – Up to 150 in meetings 
• Meetings – 1st on May 18.
  • Only had 9 people
  • Vaccinated or social distance and mask
• Degrees – not scheduled
• Processing petitions for Blue Lodge and York Rite.
• Sessions
  • April 14-16 – Chapter, Council, Commandery 1/day
• Governor says when 70% vaccinated. (at 63%).

Utah

• State is wide open.
• MWGM and Heads of Body opened Masonry.
• Council meetings happening!
  • Temples – make rules for social distancing and masks.
• Petitions read for the Degrees!

  • Successful
  • Jeff Hamilton, MIGM
• September 17-18, 2021 – Degree work – Salt Lake City.
  • All + Super Excellent Master

Southwest

• Conference
  • October 29-30, 2021
  • Council Meets afternoon of the 29th.
  • Golden Nugget
  • Registration is going up soon.

CMMRF 

• Over $103K as of the End of April
