The Glass Is Half Full!

As I write this article, it is the Middle of October, we are half way to reaching our goals for the month and for the year.
We established a goal of raising $75,000 in October for the purpose of allowing Dr. Murphy to purchase reagents critical to his research. The reagents will allow for the staining of stem cells for over 40 markers. The more the markers match, the more successful the procedure will be. Using the Codex Analyzer will speed the recovery period and save money in the long run.
At the CMMRF Board of Trustees meeting last Fall we adopted a goal of raising $500,000 in 2021. To date we are a little over half way to this goal! This goal seemed totally unobtainable based on past donations. Now we are over half way to the goal and still have 2 and 1/2 months to the end of the year.
Many of our Councils and members have contributed to get us to this point. Many friends have donated liberally. Many have yet to participate. What about you? Have you participated in raising funding for Stem Cell Research? Has your council? Is there anything more you can do to help us reach our goal?
