\”To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul.  O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed; Let not my enemies triump over me.  Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.  Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths.  Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.  Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your loving kindnesses, for they are from of old.\” -Psalm 25:1-6 (NKJV)

Companions,

The history, advice, commandments, and promises in Holy Scripture were given to us for our instruction and understanding, and is imperative in living our lives, but it seems that the Psalms, besides their history and theology, were recorded and preserved so we could find words to inspire us and express our feelings when we cannot find them in our own heart.  Psalm 25 is known to many of us and makes a great prayer, however, the Bible also answers our prayers as is shown in this passage from Hebrews: For He Himself has said, \”I will never leave you nor forsake you.\” So we may boldly say: \”The LORD is my helper; I will not fear.\” – Hebrews 13:5-6

Thank you, O LORD, for showing me your ways and for your promise of being my eternal helper.. Amen.
